CURRENT GUILD ACTIVITIES/PROJECTS...
PNQ MERCHANDISE
This is the last call for those interested in ordering clothing. We are looking at placing a bulk order of t-shirts and/or denim shirts with our logo on. If you are interested please let me know your size, if you would like a tshirt and/or denim shirt and if you’d like a logo on the back and/or a small one on the front over the pocket. Please let me know by Tuesday, September 19th . You may email me at Rochellebursa@gmail.com with your information or if you have any questions. Last call for those interested in ordering clothing.
QUILT SHOW QUESTIONNAIRE
There will be a questionnaire coming to members in a separate email asking if a quilt show for our guild is still wanted. There will be a couple other questions and at the end will be a place to also write "other thoughts" that you as a member have for our guild to possibly pursue. Please bring these back to the meeting in September/October and lie them face down by the President. If you have something that you would like me to contact you privately about please sign your questionnaire otherwise no name is needed. Thank you all for taking the time to fill these out and to give your feedback. We will then look over everyone's thoughts and report back at the November meeting. Deanna
PILLOWCASES & CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS
Our Pillowcase count is at 97 and the Christmas stocking count is at 34. Please continue to bring these items in. The families, children and Nursing Homes that we deliver items to are so appreciative. I also appreciate the generosity of our members to continue to bring in these needed items every month.
CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE 2023
There is a good buzz with the Christmas Challenge which is exciting to hear. Just to recap you need to make an item that begins with the FIRST letter of either your first or last name. There are no rules to follow. As I said this is always such a great addition to our Christmas party, everyone is always so creative. There will be voting thru out the evening with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place being awarded. Time is ticking, so get your project started.
COMMUNITY SERVICE IN NEED
We've had many needs with people/families needing quilts in the past months. We are in need of quilts for children, men or women. This could be a great project for some of the ladies to get together in groups to work on some together. Orphan blocks that are waiting to have a purpose would be just the ticket to get turned into community service quilts. Sewing sessions are great time to work on things like this.
Veteran Quilts Veteran Quilts have been on the forefront of our "items needed" list. With that being said, our guild has helped as much as we can by purchasing batting, backing and fabric. Also, Shelly was able to get us fabric through a grant from Thrivent. So we're in great shape to have our guild members bring in some wonderful, much needed Veteran quilts. It takes a village of wonderful ladies to bring this project to fruition. We hope with the items provided that there will be many Veterans quilts brought in during the next few months. We thank you in advance. And thank you Shelly for heading up this project.
